What personally-identifiable information is collected?

Artisan collects the personally-identifiable information ("Personal Info”) you give us, either online, by email, facsimile, or in person, when you register on our site, request information or a response from us, or when you purchase services from or through us. The Personal Info collected may include, without limitation, your access ID/password, contact information (names, mailing and e-mail addresses, phone/ fax numbers), and payment information.

How may my Personal Info be used?

Artisan uses your Personal Info to fulfill your requests for information and services.

Artisan may also use Personal Info in analyzing Site user behavior in order to measure interest in specific items posted on our Site.

The e-mail addresses provided at registration allow Artisan to send e-mail to individuals based on the areas of interest that they indicate during the registration process. If you do not wish to receive e-mailed advance notice of items posted on the Site, simply do not check off any of the subject boxes on the registration page.

Artisan uses Personal Info collected from cookies and IP addresses as described below.

Are cookies and IP addresses used?

The Site uses cookies to identify you and your interests and to track usage of the Site. Cookies are small pieces of text stored on your computer that help us know which browser you are using and where you have been on the Site and on Web sites to which you may link in order to use some of our features. Cookies also let us know whether you have registered with us and otherwise enable us to relate your current usage of the Site to prior usage of this or other Sites of Artisan or its affiliates. Is personally-identifiable information disclosed to third parties?

Artisan will not intentionally disclose (and will take commercially reasonable steps to prevent the accidental disclosure of) your Personal Info to third parties (i.e., persons or entities that are not affiliates of Artisan), whether for such third parties' marketing purposes or otherwise, subject only to the following nine exceptions:

  1. Artisan may disclose your Personal Info to third parties as required where the services you have requested involve our purchasing services from the third-party on your behalf. We will provide that third party with only minimum information that they require for their services. We will inform you of what information has been provided, when it was provided and for what services it was provided. The protection of your information that is then in the possession of the third-party is then subject to the privacy policy of that third-party.

In certain circumstances, it may be necessary for Artisan Web Design's customer information to be accessed by third party services to provide operational or other support services for our website. To ensure the confidentiality and security of your information, service providers must agree to safeguard your information in compliance with our Privacy Policy.
  3. Artisan may disclose your Personal Info to our third party billing and payment service providers where we believe it is reasonably necessary to protect against fraud and credit card misuse.   4. Where you have made a query in respect of a payment processed by Artisan which is made known to us by your bank or Credit Card Company by communicating the query through our bank, we may supply the relevant personal information to assist you with your query.
  5. Artisan may disclose your Personal Info to third parties as required or permitted by the laws, rules, and regulations of any nation, state, or other applicable jurisdiction.
  6. Artisan may disclose your Personal Info to third parties who deliver information from us to you for the purpose of performing such delivery.
  7. Artisan may disclose your Personal Info if, in connection with submitting the information, you consent to such disclosure.
  8. Artisan may disclose contact information for you in response to inquiries by bona-fide rights owners in connection with allegations of infringement of copyright or other proprietary rights arising from information you have posted on the Site or otherwise provided to Artisan.
  9. If Artisan merges with or sells substantially all of its assets or a majority of its equity to a third party, information collected by Artisan on their Web sites may be disclosed to and owned by the merged entity or third party.

We may provide third parties with aggregate statistics about our customers, traffic patterns, and related site information. This data reflects site usage patterns gathered during millions of customer visits to our Web site each month, but it does not contain behavioral or identifying information about any individual member unless that member has given us permission to share that information.

Links to third-party sites

We may provide links to third-party Web sites as a service to our users. In addition, some of the content appearing to be on this Site is in fact supplied by third parties, for example, in instances of framing of third- party Web sites or incorporation through framesets of content supplied by third-party servers. We cannot control and are not responsible for the information collection and privacy practices of such third-party Web sites, which may differ from those of this Site.

How can I access, change, and/or delete information?

You may access, correct, update, and/or delete any Personal Info that you submitted to the Site. You may also unsubscribe from mailing lists or any registrations on the Site. To do so, please either follow instructions on the page of the Site on which you have provided such information or subscribed or registered, or contact us at Privacy@Artisan-WebDesign.com.

You may access and update the business related Personal Info Artisan possess about you at any time by contacting Artisan Web Design at Privacy@Artisan-WebDesign.com.

If you believe that Artisan may hold other Personal Info about you which is inaccurate, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.

Security

Artisan has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect Personal Info from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorized Artisan personnel are provided access to Personal Info, and these employees are required to treat this information as confidential.

In addition, in respect of any payment details you send to us, we reveal only the first six and last three digits of your credit card number on the invoice receipt which we send to you for billing purposes. This is to help keep your credit card details secure.

Personal Info that is financially related will be retained for 10 years in secure storage as may be required by applicable laws.

General Personal Info is retained for up to one year after you stop using our services before being purged. You may request that we delete your Personal Info at any time by contacting us at Privacy@Artisan-WebDesign.com.

You can also use simple precautions to help protect your security, such as protecting against the unauthorized use of your user name or password or other authentication id.

Despite these precautions, Artisan cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your Personal Info.

Children's on-line privacy protection

Artisan understands the importance of protecting children's privacy, especially in an on-line environment. If you are under the age of 18, you must not provide your name, e-mail address, or any other identifying information without the consent of your parent or guardian, or as otherwise provided for by applicable law. Artisan will not intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.

By using the Site, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information by us in the manner described in this Privacy Policy and elsewhere on the Site. Furthermore, you expressly agree that we are free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in any communication you send to us without compensation and for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products and services using such information.

Changes to policy; Opt-Out Process

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions from this policy at any time. However, if at any time in the future we plan to use Personal Information in a way that differs from this policy, we will post such changes here and provide you the opportunity to opt-out of such differing uses. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any changes to this policy means you accept such changes.

Location of Service, and Information Export Notice

Our Service is maintained in the United States of America. By using the Service, you authorize the export of Personal Information to the USA and its storage and use as specified in this policy.
